The Commissioner Quetta Division, Quetta, issued Notification No. 198-R-8/61 dated the 24th of March 1961, under section 5 of the Land Acquisition Act (I of 1894) for the acquisition of the land situated in Mahal Khushkaba Kansi, Mauza Shaldara, Tappa Kansi and Mahal Sirki Kalan, Mauza Sirki, Tappa Saddar Kansi, Tehsil Quetta, District Quetta-Pishin for the public purpose of the construction and establishment of Pakistan Bureau of Mineral Resources. G. D. N. Branch, Karachi. This was followed by the second Notification No. 198-R-8/61, dated the 28th of April 1961, issued under sections 6 and 7 of the Land Acquisition Act containing the details of the land to be acquired, measuring 150 Acres 4 Rods and 14 Pols in all, situated in these two Mahals.
