Petitioner Owais Durrani has filed this Constitutional Petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, with the following prayer: - i. To direct respondents No.4 to 7 to provide protection from the illegal act of respondents No.1-3.
ii. To restrain respondent No.7 for registration of any criminal or FIR against the petitioner in same offence.
iii. To restrain respondent Nos.4 and 7 for implication of the petitioner and his family members in any false and vexatious FIR.
iv. To direct respondent Nos.4 and 7 to restrain respondent Nos.1 to 4 fr om creating harassment, humiliation and extending threats to the petitioner and his family in any manner whatsoever nature without due course of law.
v. To restrain respondent Nos.1 and 2 them selves or through their agents / servants / attorney / assigns / contractors / builder working on his behalf from any Court proceedings i.e. civil and criminal or other unlawful activities against the petitioner and his family until and unless the instant petition is decided.
This Court vide order dated 06.10.2025 dir ected that no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner in terms of purported cheques issued by the petitioner until further orders of this Court. Learned APG has put his appearance and states that so far as the marriage ceremony of the petitio ner is concerned, no harassment shall be caused to him in terms of the purported cheques issued by him to the private respondents. In view of above, this petition stands disposed of alongwith listed / pending applications with directions that no harassmen t shall be caused to the petitioner and the marriage ceremony s hall be completed as suggested without interference of police, till that date, subject to all just exceptions as permitted under the law.
