P. C. in three cases. In one case he was ordered to undergo R. T. for a period of one year on 27th February 1970. In the second case on 28th August 1970, he was sentenced to undergo R. I. of two years. In third case, on 29th September 1970, he was sentenced to two years' R. I. and a fine of Rs, 100, in default of which he was further to undergo 4 months' R. I. The Probation Officer was asked to report about the suitability of the accused for sending on probation and he reported in favour of the petitioner. In view of this report of the Probation Officer, the accused was sent on probation of good conduct for the period for which he had been sentenced in each case. On 11th December 1970 by Memo. No, 2121/RLP the Probation Officer Reclamation and Probation, Bahawalpur Division, addressed to the learned Magistrate, Ahmadpur East reported that from the beginning of his probation the petitioner had not shown any sign of his reclamation and the department had endeavoured in vain for his recovery as he actually belonged to a criminal tribe and most of the members of his family were habitual criminal.
