Mr. Abdul Jalil Zubedi, AAG Sindh. ********** O R D E R Adnan-ul-Karim Memo, J The Petitioners filed the present Constitutional Petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, seeking directions to the concerned authorities of KMC and other relevant departments for payment of their retirement d ues, including pension and othe r outstanding benefits, which, despite being lawfully due upon completion of their service, have not been released. They further sought any other relief deemed appropriate by this Court. 2. It is the case of the Petitioners that they were employed in vario us Town Municipal Corporations (TMCs), Karachi, and after rendering due service, retired from their respective posts; however, their post -retirement dues remain unpaid. Learned counsel for KMC submitted that the cases of the Petitioners are required to be processed by the concerned TMCs and to be forwarded to KMC, whereafter the same would be examined and processed for grant of pensionary benefits in accordance with law, subject to their entitlement under the law. 3. This Court f inds the said submission rea sonable and dispos ing of the petition, without touching the merits of the case, with directions to the Respondents (TMCs) to forward the cases of the Petitioners to KMC for pension processing. The competent authority of KMC is directed to process the same in accordance with law and release pensionary benefits, if found admissible. The entire exercise is ordered to be completed within one month.
