O R D E R
Adnan-ul-Karim Memon, J. – The petitioner, Sher Ahmed, has invoked the constitutional jurisdiction of this Court under Article 199 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, seeking appropriate directions against the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and its functionaries. The grievance of the petitioner is that cert ain individuals, allegedly strangers to his family, have been erroneously included in his family tree maintained in NADRA’s database. He prays for a direction to the respondents to immediately remove and segregate such “intruders” from his family record, and to ensure issuance of CNICs to his genuine children. He further seeks a declaration that the said individuals have no lawful relation with the petitioner or his father, and that they have allegedly obtained CNICs through fraudulent means by submitting false particulars with mala fide intent. The petitioner also prays for any other relief which this Court may deem just and proper in the circumstances of the case. 2. On behalf of NADRA, it is submitted that, as per the comments of the Zonal Verification Bo ard, Mega Siemens Chowrangi, the petitioner, Sher Muhammad bearing CNIC No. 42401 -7122299-7, had appeared before the Zonal Verification Board for the purpose of segregation of six alleged intruders, namely Abdullah Rehman (CNIC No. 42401 -8437080-9), Jan Mu hammad (CNIC No. 42401 - 6654726-5), Ismail (CNIC No. 42401 -9036170-5), Alozai (CNIC No. 42401 - 8924078-9), Syed Agha (CNIC No. 42401 -1285079-1), and Gul Bibi (CNIC No. 42401-1455595-0). It is further stated that these individuals are shown in the petitioner’s Alpha Family record as having disputed relations as siblings. It is submitted that the petitioner is required to appear before the Regional Verification & Revocation Branch of NADRA at Awami Markaz for completion of the process of segregation of the alle ged intruders, including issuance of show -cause notices to

the concerned persons. It is further clarified that upon completion of the requisite formalities and due process, the matter of issuance of CNICs to the petitioner’s children, if found entitled, shall be processed in accordance with law. 3. When confronted with the above position, learned counsel for the petitioner expressed satisfaction and sought disposal of the petition in the light of the statement made by the Assistant Director (Legal), NADRA. It is, however, observed that the aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks. 4. In view of the above, without touching the merits of the case and with consent of the parties, the petition is disposed of along with all pending applications in the above terms.
