Petitioner has filed this Constitutional Petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, seeking directions to the respondents / police officials not to harass the petitioner and his family. This Court vide order dated 27.10.2025, issued notices to the learned Advocate General Sindh and learned Prosecutor General Sindh for today, meanwhile, the respondents were directed not to cause any sort of harassment to the petitioner and shall act strictly in accordance with law. However, if there is a cognizable offence, police shall be free to take action in accordance with law. Today, learned Assistant PG has submitted report dated 03.11.2025, which is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in all the cases the family members of the petitioner ha ve already been acquitted from the charges, therefore, no further action in terms of law be taken ag ainst the petitioner. Be that as it may, since this is a simple case of harassment, the police officials can only take action if there is concrete evidence against the family members of the petitioner in terms of Section 154 Cr.P.C. However, no harassment shall be caused to the petitioner and her family members. Petition stands disposed of in the above terms alongwith listed application.
