------------------------- 1. Urgency granted. 2. Through this CMA No.9052/2026, the petitioner appearing in person sought indulgence of this court to restore the instant petition which was dismissed on account of non -prosecution vide order dated 27.08.2025. On the grounds mentioned in the application, this petition stands restored as it was on 27.08.2025. The Petitioner claims ownership of an area 1310 square yards from 0-8-0 Anna Share in Survey No. 577, 680 (out of 2 -21 acres), 681 out of 3-29 acres, Deh Thano Model Colony, Karachi (“subject land”). It is averred that the Petitioner submitted an application dated 10.03.2025 to the official Respondents (available at page 63 of the Court file), seeking partition of the subject land; however, no action ensued. The Petitioner’s grievance, in essence, pertains to the inaction of the concerned revenue authorities on his request for partition of the land. It is observed that the Government of Sindh, Revenue Department, through Notification No. DD(E&I)/HQ/BOR/2024/302 dated 21 st October 2024, has established a Public Grievance
Redressal Cell under the supervision of the respective Deputy Commissioners for the resolution of revenue -related complaints. It is considered expedient to reproduce the said notification hereunder for reference:
In view of the foregoing Notification, the Petitioner has an alternate and efficacious remedy available under the law by
approaching the aforesaid Public Grievance Redressal Cell for appropriate relief. The learned Assistant Advocate General submits that he has no objection if the present petition is disposed of with directions to the official Respondents to consider and decide the Petitioner’s application strictly in accordance with law and in light of the above-mentioned Notification. Accordingly, this petition, along with all listed applications, is hereby disposed of with directions to the competent revenue authority/official Respondents to consider and decide the Petitioner’s pending application strictly in accordance with law, preferably within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of this order, after providing an opportunity of hearing to all concerned. Let a copy of this order be transmitted to the office of the learned Advocate General, Sindh, as well as to the official Respondents, for their information and necessary compliance. JUDGE
