P. C. and acquitting them all. The incident in relation to which the respondents were charged took place on the night between 19th and 20th March 1964, at Chah Isawala, in the area of Keetan Kalan, Tehsil Chunian in District Lahore. Six persons were killed by gunshots in the incident, namely, Mst. Kariman, her sons Mohammad Shafi, Ahmad Din and Shamoo, a daughter Mst. Begum Bibi and a sister Mst. Chiragh Bibi. After putting the victims to death their dead bodies were thrown on a stack of cotton sticks lying in the courtyard of the house and put to fire. According to the first information report lodged by Asad-ullah, appellant, husband of Mst. Begum Bibi, deceased, at Police Station Chunian, at a distance of 8 miles from the place of occurrence, the culprits were Mohammad Ali, Yasin, Sarwar, Ishaq alias Sadiq and Bashir, respondents.
