The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973 seeking following relief:- “That, this Honourable court may be pleased to declare the order's (i) No.EB/OP/2026 - 64873- 889, dated 05.04.2026 as major Punishment, i.e dismissed from service, (ii) DIGP/W - Z/DP/16414-19 of 2026, Karachi dated 10.04.2026 as Maj or Punishment of "forfeiture approved service for one year" passed by respondent No.3 & 4 as null, void, abinitio, unlawful and without lawful justification and same may be cancelled/set aside. B. That, this Honourable court may be pleased to direct the re spondents to reinstate of service of petitioner as Head Constable in police department with whole service benefits and salaries of the said period accordingly. C. Any other relief which this Honourable court deems fit and proper may be awarded to the petitioner. D. Any other relief(s) the Honorable Court deems fit and proper under the circumstances of the case for the prosperity of the petitioners and the whole Society..” 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner being aggrieved and dissatisfied with the impugned order dated 05.06.2026, whereby major penalty for dismissal from service was awarded to the petitioner on 10.04.2026. He further contended that the petitioner has already filed an appeal before respondent No.2-Inspector General of Police Sindh, which is pending adjudication, therefore, appropriate directions may be issue d to the Inspector General of Police Sindh / Appellate Authority to hear the petitioner and decide the same within two weeks’ time. The req uest seems to be reasonable and acceded to. 3. Without touching the merits of the case, t his petition stands disposed of with directions to the Inspector General of Police Sindh / Appellate Authority to decide the appeal of the petitioner , if any pending, within two weeks’ time after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
