O R D E R Adnan-ul-Karim Memon, J. – The petitioner, William, has filed the present constitutional petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, seeking directions to the respondents to release his monthly pension along with all ancillary retirement benefits with effect from 30.11.2023, as well as costs of the petition. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was serving under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and, upon attaining superannuation on 30.11.2023, he retired from service. However, despite lapse of considerable tim e, his pension and other retiral dues were not released, compelling him to approach this Court for appropriate relief. 3. In response to notice, learned counsel appearing on behalf of KMC has submitted that a cheque bearing No. 26542518 dated 22.04.2026, a mounting to Rs. 1,650,548/ -, has been issued in favour of the petitioner, who served as Ex - Sanitary Worker (BPS -02), Town Municipal Corporation (North Nazimabad Town), representing full and final payment on account of pension commutation, including arrears. It is further submitted that the petitioner is already receiving his regular monthly pension, as reflected through Inward No. 60440 dated 16.07.2025. On this basis, learned counsel seeks disposal of the petition. 4. Today, neither the petitioner nor his counsel is in attendance; however, in view of the statement made by learned counsel for KMC and the material placed on record, it appears that substantial compliance has been made and the petitioner’s dues have been settled. 5. Accordingly, no further orde rs are required to be passed. The petition stands disposed of in terms of the statement made by learned counsel for the respondent-KMC. JUDGE Shahzad Soomro JUDGE
