Through the instant petition, the petitioner has sought the following relief:- “i) That this Court may be pleased to direct the Respondents No.1 and 2 to provide protection to petitioner and her family members.
ii) That this Court maybe pleased to direct the Respondents No.1 and 2 to remove the guards deployed at the residence of Petitioner.
iii) That this Court maybe pleased to direct the Respondent No.3 and 5 to follow the legal process and comply with the orders of Ex-Offico Justice of Peace, III-Additional Sessions Judge (East) dated 21.02.2022.
iv) That this Court may be pleased to direct the Respondent No.1 to restrain the Respondent No.6 from deploying armed guards at the residence of the Petitioner.
DIG Karachi East was directed to ensure that no law and order situation develops where the petitioner lives as her complaint was confined to the harassment at the hands of the guards of the private Security Company engaged by respond ent No.7 who had continuously been harassing her and those guards were allegedly supported by the local police, in such circumstances, DIG was also directed to ensure that no member of the police would be privy to the private affairs. In the event, the petitioner approached the Police Station with a complaint that she was being threatened, intimidated or harassed by the private guards, DIG would ensure that a competent neutral and honest officer could be deputed to look into the matter and that everyone should be dealt with in accordance with law. Today, counsel representing private respondent No.7 states that no harassment shall be caused to the petitioner at any cost. In view of such statement, this petition stands disposed of alongwith listed / pending a pplication(s) with directions to the police to ensure that the private security guards of respondent No.7 shall not cause any harassment to the petitioner in any manner of whatsoever nature.
