F. P. Joint Public Service Commission, Lahore, by means of a public notice published in the Pakistan Times, dated 9-5-1950, invited applications for the Posts of Forest Rangers. The actual advertisement reads as follows:--- "Secretary, Punjab and N.-W. F. P. Joint Public Service Commission, Lahore invites Applications on prescribed forms (obtainable free, accompanied by treasury, (or, if applying from outside Punjab (Pakistan) and N.-W. F. P. (M. O.) receipt for Rs. 5 (no fee from War Service candidates). To ensure safe delivery of forms candidates should send postage stamps worth annas 5-6 to cover registration charges. Last date for applications, 22nd May 1950. (Posts Ten (3) reserved for War service candidates). Stipendiary probationers for temporary (but likely to become permanent) Forest Rangers in the Punjab Pay. (Subject to revision on recommendations of Pakistan Pay : Commission or Punjab Resources and Retrenchment Committee). After training Rs. 90-5-140- -200/7----235/8----275 p.m. Qualification : (i) Intermediate examination of a recognized University with to or more of the subjects Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, or an equivalent or higher examination from a recognised Institution with the same subjects.…
