1. Urgent application is allowed. 2-4. Petitioner Abdullah has filed this Constitutional Petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, with the following prayer:- i. To take legal action against the respondents No.4 to 6 and other officials posted at PS Shah Latif Town, Karachi

ii. To conduct the inquiry a gainst the respondents No.4 to 6 who are demanding the bribe from the petitioner or in case of failure issuing threats to the petitioner to involve in false case as well as murder and misusing their official powers as per contents of application as annexure A.

iii. To restrain the official respondents No.4 to 6 and other officials of PS Shah Latif Town who are busy for raiding the house of petitioner without any warrant or justification as well as insert the name of the petitioner in false FIR(s).

Learned cou nsel for the petitioner submits that the official respondents without any justification are demanding bribe from the petitioner and in case of his failure his life will be in danger. Learned counsel has referred to Article 9 of the Constitution of Pakistan that the government functionaries are under the obligation to provide legal protection to every citizen of Pakistan, however, the police officials are taking contrary action in violation of law and demanded unnecessary amount from the petitioner. Learned counsel submits that previously the petitioner was got involved in FIR No.1230 of 2024, registered under Section 9-1-3(c) of the CNS Act, 2022 at PS Shah Latif Town, Karachi, which was culminated into his acquittal vide judgment dated 07.7.2025 passed by l earned Additional Sessions Judge -I / Model Criminal Trial Court, Malir, Karachi in Sessions Case No.135 of 2025 (The State versus Abdullah). Be that as it may, I.G. Police Sindh shall take action against all the police officials, who are indulged in these sorts of affairs and they shall be restrained not to take any coercive action against the innocent citizens on such false pretext until

and unless there is cogent material against the individuals or involved in cognizable offences. However, it is made cle ar that if any cognizable offence is committed by any individual, police may take action in accordance with law and no harassment shall be caused to any individual. A copy of this order shall be sent to the I.G. Police Sindh, for compliance. Petition stands disposed of in the above terms alongwith listed application.
