This petition was earlier disposed of vide order dated 22.09.2025, wherein it was recorded that the learned Assistant Advocate General, on behalf of the Secretary Health (Respondent No. 3), had placed on record a statement indicating that an amount of Rs. 1,854,641/- was recoverable from the petitioner in pursuance of the order dated 21.06.2019 passed by the Chief Secretary, Sindh, arising out of proceedings under the Sindh Civil Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973. At that time, learned counsel for the petitioner had submitted that the said recoverable amount may be adjusted against the petitioner’s final dues, and that the remaining admissible amount be released in his favour. The Court, while accepting this suggestion, directed the respondents to undertake the necessary exercise and, after effecting the aforesaid deduction, release the remaining pensionary and other dues of the petitioner within a period of thirty (30) days. The petition was accordingly disposed of in these terms, while preservi ng the petitioner’s right to avail any remedy available under the law against the penalty order dated 21.06.2019. Thereafter, the learned A.A.G. placed on record a letter dated 30.10.2025, whereby the Pension Commutation, Gratuity, and General Provident Fu nd papers in respect of the petitioner, namely Dr. Abdul Latif Buriro, retired Additional Medical Superintendent (BS-19), DHQ Hospital Mirpur Mathelo, District Ghotki, were forwarded to the concerned authorities for necessary action. The said communication also directed the District Accounts Officer, Ghotki, to effect recovery of Rs. 1,854,641/ - from the petitioner’s pensionary benefits in compliance with the directions passed by this Court. It was further reflected that the District Health Officer, Ghotki, as well as the Medical Superintendent, DHQ Hospital Mirpur Mathelo, had reiterated the existence of outstanding dues determined under the order dated 21.06.2019 passed by the Secretary, Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, recommend ing adjustment

of the same from the petitioner’s pension and gratuity pursuant to the order dated 22.09.2025. Today, in compliance of this Court’s order dated 15.04.2026, a statement has been filed on behalf of the Secretary, Health Department, Government of Sindh, wherein it has been stated that necessary steps for the release of the petitioner’s pension and gratuity have been initiated, and the payable amount shall be credited to his account within two weeks. the request seems to be reasonable and is acceded to. In view of the aforesaid assurance and statement, the instant contempt application is hereby disposed of accordingly.
