O R D E R Adnan-ul-Karim Memon, J. – The petitioner, Riffat Yar Khan, retired from service on 09.02.2022 while serving as Public Relation s Officer (BPS -17) in SCUG Service (Engineering Branch), District Municipal Corporation, Korangi. 2. It is urged that the pension contribution was received by DMC Korangi on 01.11.2022 and the case was finalized on 29.05.2023 for an amount of Rs. 1,506,87 3/-. However, due to huge accumulated pension liabilities amounting to over Rs. 8.5 billion on account of pension and commutation, the payment has not yet been released. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has disputed the calculated amount and seeks re - calculation of pensionary benefits. Learned counsel further submits that this matter requires consideration in terms of the order dated 17.09.2025 passed by this Court in Constitutional Petition No. D -5490 of 2021, whereby it was held that a petitioner ca nnot be made to wait indefinitely for settlement of legitimate retirement dues and the respondents were directed to make payment within a specified period and decide the petitioner’s representation through a speaking order. 4. In view of the above, by consent of the parties, this petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to release the admitted pensionary dues of the petitioner within two (02) weeks, while the issue of re -calculation/differential amount shall be examined and decided by the Financial Advisor through a speaking order after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within thirty (30) days.
